Now that the second season of Demon Slayer has concluded, we may speculate on when further episodes of the anime could be added on Netflix. Unfortunately, it is possible that further episodes of Demon Slayer will not air until 2023. This is why.
The anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotge. Since the premiere of the anime series, Demon Slayer’s popularity has skyrocketed. In 2020, the series made more than $8.75 billion in sales revenue, making it one of the highest-grossing media franchises in history.
It is impossible to overstate how popular the series has grown. The popularity of Demon Slayer has skyrocketed as a result of Ufotable’s brilliant animators’ extremely stunning animation. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train shattered Studio Ghibli’s box office record in Japan by becoming the highest-grossing film in the country’s history.
What To Expect From Season 2?
The second season will not begin immediately after the conclusion of the first. It will commence with the scene after the Mugen train arc. In the upcoming season, Tanjiro and his companions will visit Yoshiwara, a legendary red-light district in Edo where all kind of illegal and immoral behaviour occurs openly and without oversight.
When is Demon Slayer season 2 coming to Netflix?
Unfortunately for Netflix members, the wait for the second season of Demon Slayer will be lengthy. This is why.
The second season of the anime debuted on Crunchyroll in the summer of 2021, but did not conclude until February of 2022.
The first season finale aired on September 28, 2019, but did not release on Netflix until January 22, 2021, over 16 months later.
The conclusion of the second season aired on February 13, 2022. If the second season follows the same release timeline as the first, the second season of Demon Slayer will not come on Netflix until June 2023.
June 2023 is a possible Netflix release date.
When is the Demon Slayer movie coming to Netflix?
The plot of Demon Slayer was continued through the Mugen Train arc, which was turned into the second season of the anime, but initially aired as a film.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train smashed many box office records during its run in theatres:
- Japan’s highest-grossing film of all time.
- The anime film with the highest grossing of all time.
- The animated film with the highest earning of 2020.
- The film with the most grossing R-rated animation of all time.
- The film has made more than $504 million worldwide.
We have discussed in further length whether or not the Demon Slayer movie will be available on Netflix, but we anticipate that it will not be available until 2022.

What can fans expect from the second season of Demon Slayer?
If Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train is not available on Netflix, viewers can watch an episode adaptation of the Mugen Train arc from the anime.

After the Mugen Train arc, the anime resumes with the Entertainment District arc, in which Tanjiro and his companions travel to Yoshiwara, a notorious and seedy red-light district in Edo where demons, crime, and other unpleasant actions are rife. Demonic activity is suspected when a number of spouses disappear from their homes.
Before anybody else vanishes, Tanjiro and a new acquaintance with a personal tie to the mystery must unravel the situation.
How Do the Demon Slayers Neutralize Gyutaro’s Poison?
Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Tengen were all injured by Gyutaro and poisoned as a result. Typically, this would be the death penalty. His poison is quite strong. However, Gyutaro’s poison never faced Nezuko’s Blood Demon Art.
Blood Demon Art is based on Nezuko’s ability to conjure demon flames from her blood. Nezuko initially employed it against Rui in Season 1’s battle. In Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, she utilised it to free Tanjiro from Enmu’s dream magic. And she utilised it once again at the climax, first to counter Gyutaro’s post-death onslaught and then to eradicate the poison from everyone’s bodies.
Earlier in the season, she used it against Daki, severely wounding the Upper Rank demon. Nezuko’s monstrous potential as a demon is demonstrated by the fact that her Blood Demon Art can not harm humans, but has proved successful against every demon faced so far, which speaks volumes about her monstrous potential as a demon.
What Happens to Daki and Gyutaro After They Die?
Two constants exist in Demon Slayer. Tanjiro will gain strength from his family, and demons have terrible origins. Daki and Gyutaro are identical. They were born in Yoshiwara’s poorest neighbourhood. They were orphaned as children. Gyutaro was mocked for his looks, while Daki became a child prostitute. Then, a customer burnt Daki to death, and Gyutaro was targeted for death.
However, while we find that Gyutaro will always want to become a demon, Daki is not made the same way. As a result of Gyutaro’s influence, she is a demon. This fundamental distinction is underscored when Gyutaro and Daki reconcile in limbo. Gyutaro still appears like a demon while Daki looks like her real human form. She still has the opportunity to enter the light, unlike Gyutaro. However, she finally refuses to leave him, and they both end themselves in Hell.
What Does This Victory Mean for the Demon Slayer Corps?
Defeating a Demon Moon of a Higher Rank is no easy accomplishment. In fact, the head of the Demon Slayer Corps, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, interprets this triumph as a sign that they will eventually vanquish Muzan within this generation. Unquestionably a reason for joy, yet the demon slayers are in poor health.
After the death of Rengoku, they are already down one Hashira, and now Tengen has decided to retire. Fans with keen eyesight will also observe that Kagaya’s health is deteriorating. The curse mark now encompasses almost half of his face. The opportunity to beat Muzen is narrowing, if anything.
Who Survives the Entertainment District Arc?
Neither Gyutaro nor Daki, thank goodness. In this season, the demon siblings delivered a shocking twist by revealing that the demon slayers’ target was not Daki, but rather Daki and her much stronger older brother, Gyutaro. In fact, the only way to overcome them was to simultaneously behead both siblings.
In practise, however, it proved challenging for the countless demon slayers of the past. Fortunately, our heroes prevailed and defeated the sixth-strongest followers of Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji, the primary antagonist of Demon Slayer.
The death of Rengoku in Demon Slayer: Mugen Train taught us that the good guys in this series are not guaranteed a long life. Tanjiro is protected because he is the protagonist of the story. Nezuko is also because she is not only Tanjiro’s younger sister, but also the reason he became a demon slayer in the first place. And based on standard shonen series clichés, so are Zenitsu and Inosuke, since they, together with Tanjiro, are the ensemble cast’s cornerstone trio.
The second season will not begin immediately after the conclusion of the first. It will commence with the scene after the Mugen train arc. In the upcoming season, Tanjiro and his companions will visit Yoshiwara, a legendary red-light district in Edo. The Demon Slayer movie will not be available on Netflix until 2022. The film has made more than $504 million worldwide.
After the Mugen Train arc, the anime resumes with the Entertainment District arc, in which Tanjiro and his friends travel to Tokyo. The Demon Slayer Corps defeats a Demon Moon of a Higher Rank in the latest episode. The head of the Corps interprets this as a sign that they will vanquish Muzan within this generation.
After the death of Rengoku, they are already down one Hashira, and now Tengen has decided to retire. Fans with keen eyesight will also observe that Kagaya’s health is deteriorating. The opportunity to beat Muzen is narrowing, if anything.
