The programme was renewed in April 2021 for a second season… and a third! thanks to Amazon’s Prime Video’s attentiveness to the fans’ petitions, hashtags, and hard work.
Even before this unexpected statement, creator Robert Kirkman had already intimated that further episodes were coming, but difficult to execute.
The Walking Dead writer told Collider about the genesis of the programme, “The production schedule is quite scary. I believe that we spent many years growing and preparing for this season. As we get, ideally, into season two and beyond, the situation will tighten.
“As we get into our second season, there is unquestionably a great deal less designing and new things that must occur. And it is very feasible that work for the second season has already been completed. Therefore, I believe we are in an excellent position to move forward, should this concert be a success.”

The cast of Invincible is – and we don’t say this lightly – unbelievably massive, and it’s feasible that it may continue to grow as the series progresses.

Invincible Season 2 Plot: What Will Happen?
Mark’s life has been irrevocably altered by all that transpired in that horrific conclusion. Omni-Man, his father, has ruined his family (along with half of Chicago). Nolan will soon return with the whole might of the Viltrumite race, intent on conquering Earth as part of their extraterrestrial empire, even if he is currently absent.
In the series’ conclusion, Cecil urges Mark to replace his father as Earth’s champion, despite Mark’s initial reluctance. In the meanwhile, he also intends to complete high school, although this may be difficult given the impending dangers.
In addition to the Viltrumite invasion, some of Invincible’s past foes are expected to return. In the last minutes of the first season, Titan gains new allies, pink aliens conquer Mars, and that white tiger guy is still active. Cecil plays with fire by engaging the mad scientist to develop more cyborg henchmen, apparently to thwart Nolan’s return.
Moving ahead, Mark’s connection with Amber appears to be solid once more, although its longevity is uncertain. We can only hope that William gets reunited with his partner soon, considering things did not go well between him and Rick in season one.
Is Invincible Season 2 Happening?
Before the conclusion of the first season of Invincible, the programme was renewed for a second season. The three-episode premiere of the programme was an instant smash, so it didn’t take Amazon Prime long to make this decision. Amazon actually renewed the programme for a second and third season immediately following the season one conclusion of Invincible.
Regrettably, there is currently no information on the release date. Due to this, people cannot help but question if Invincible Season 2 will still occur, especially considering that the first season concluded last year.
The good news is that there have been no reports of the show’s cancellation.
Invincible Season 2 Trailer: When Can We Watch It?
If Robert Kirkman is still writing, it’s likely that we won’t see any footage or a trailer for quite some time.
Season two video won’t likely be released until later in 2022, but it wouldn’t hurt to have Damien Darkblood probe Amazon HQ in the interim.
