Netflix’s Manifest Season 4
Let’s take a look at the journey that led to the fourth season of Manifest on Netflix before we move on to the future.
In the first episode of Manifest, which aired on NBC in 2018, the story began with the departure of Flight 828. The series was so captivating that it finished the year as NBC’s ninth highest-rated program overall. Despite the significant decline in viewership over the course of the show’s run, NBC renewed it for a second and third season.
It was stated that there were 12.61 million viewers for season 1, but that number had dropped by more than half by the time season 3 began broadcasting.
The writing was on the wall for Manifest during the summer of 2021; this marks the beginning of the timeframe with Netflix.
On June 10, 2021, shortly after the airing of the season three finale of Manifest, NBC made the decision to discontinue the show. On June 10th, 2021, as we originally reported, Warner Brothers Television, the primary owner of the show, leased seasons 1 and 2 to Netflix. It is possible that this was a last-ditch effort on Warner Brothers Television’s part to give the show some additional publicity.
Once the first two seasons of the show were available on Netflix in both the US and Canada, it took off. The fact that the show stayed at the top of the list for weeks was the first sign that it was popular.
As of September 17, 2021, the show has been in the top 10 in the United States for 94 days and in Canada for 78 days.
Even though this has been disputed, many articles said that Manifest was the most popular show in the US during the summer. This was enough to start talks about bringing the show back.
Since the show came back, Netflix has said that between June 27 and September 12, at least 214,520,000,000 hours were spent watching seasons 1-3 just in the United States and Canada.
After going back and forth for weeks and months (and Deadline letting people know that talks were still going on), a deal was finally made, and a supersized final season will start on August 28, 2021.
The third season was added to Netflix in the United States on August 21, 2021, and in Canada soon after.
An in-depth article from The Hollywood Reporter gives more information about why the show was canceled and why it was brought back. It also says that 25 million people had watched the show on Netflix within 28 days.
When Netflix was thinking about renewal, it was important to get global rights and make sure that the cast could come back even though most of their contracts had ended.
So far, this is what we know about Manifest’s fourth season.
The Cast of Season 4 of Manifest
As we said above, getting the cast on board was one of the most important parts of renewing the show.

On September 9, it was confirmed that Parveen Kaur, Luna Blaise, and Holly Taylor would be back. Also, Ty Doran was made a regular player for the season.
On September 10, it was said that Daryl Edwards, who plays NSA director Robert Vance, had been promoted to a series regular.
So far, Jack Messina, who played Cal, has been the biggest change for the show. Even though it was said that Cal was working on a deal to come back.
