Ps5 Pro Rumours Reappear With Claims of a Possible 2023 Release Date and Enhanced Performance
Look, there will probably be a PS5 Pro. There’s no reason for Sony to change the plan that made the PS4 such a huge success. But could a console like this come out as soon as 2024? Insider Gaming says that it seems to be the case. The often-reliable website says that Sony’s PS5 Pro, which is said to be in development, could come out in late 2024, citing unnamed sources.
We’re sitting here, so of course we already know that a new PS5 model will come out this year. Long-running rumours have been going around about a redesigned PS5 with a removable disc drive, but it’s important to note that this is not a PS5 Pro.
So, will there really be a PS5 Pro in 2024? At first glance, it seems a little early, especially since stock shortages pushed this console generation back until… well, until now. However, it doesn’t sound impossible. Since PS5 sales have been going through the roof in recent months, Sony might want to cash in as soon as possible.
Also, we should keep in mind that the PS5 is getting close to being three years old. Even though it seems like the generation is just getting started (again, because of stock shortages), it will have been around for four years by the time this Pro is supposed to come out.
But on the other hand, if this rumour turns out to be true, it’s likely that Sony plans to release two new consoles within a year or so. From our point of view, that does seem a bit pushy. Imagine buying a PS5 with a detachable disc drive and then being told that a Pro model is coming out in a year.
What do you think of it all? Do you think the PS5 Pro will be around in 2024? In the comments section below, you can try to predict what will happen.
